EskimoBro probably drafts players I "love" closer to me than any other person.
And of course temek, along with LOTR, are the two greatest fantasy hockey successors in Dobber draft history. (IMO)

This was just a brutal draft... as I drafted in the RHRS one-year league with these guys just two days ago (Sunday).

    Pengwin's Season Review Part I:
I was correct, the draft was brutal, I hated it... and it turned out pretty bad.
Eichel(1), Hall(4), Dahlin(6) was my all-in play on Buffalo - and it turned out terrible.
Those minues gave me a tie for last finish in +/-.
Josi(3) was sub-par. Pastrnak(2) was good, but full year stats probably weren't great.
Drafting TonyD(10) just sums up how shitty my skaters were in this draft.

I tried to stock up on goalies just to run enough points to NOT.GET.RELEGATED.
    Turns out... it saved.my.ass.

(Oddly, this draft was flip-opposite of my RHRS. Here: StrongGoalies, CrapSkaters. RHRS: StrongSkaters, CrapGoalies. EyeCrunch.)

The WAS Duo (Samsonov-5,Vanecek-17), the MIN Duo (Talbot-9, Kahkonen-18), the CAR duo (Mrazek-7, Reimer-16) was great to own. I gained luck with Fleury(8) covering for Lehner's injury. Overall, I got out to a huge lead in Wins and Saves and about 3rd in GAA. With three weeks to go I traded/dropped all my goalies, thinking I could hold enough points and rally a full-skater line-up in SOG/HIT. Turned out I was right. I only got chased down by one team in Wins (finishing 2nd), but two teams in SV (finishing 3rd), and finished 4th or 5th in GAA. I rallied about 7pts in SOG and especially HIT.

Predicted Finish: 6/12 (You can only win fantasy hockey by drafting more value than the round... and I just had to settle for my 2nd pick too often. My goalie strategy with the Yahoo 65gp glitch should be enough to avoid relegation though. If I can overpace in goalie starts, I can at least trade for forwards to make up pace. Making up skater pace is always possible... but not goalies, not in this format.)

    Bathhouse OUT!

Again - I avoided relegation, so that's great.
But my theory on drafting was wrong. Part of a bad mindset in transitioning from RHRS draft.
The weekly-hold and daily-set roster does make it hard to rally in skater starts.
So I never made those starts full up, finishing over 100gp down in D-starts and maybe 20gp down in C-starts.

Looking back, it was a C+ draft.
And I finished 8th for not identifying that going FULL-SKATER would've been better to avoid relegation.
I prefer FULL-SKATER draft... and will probably get back to that next year.

Eichel was probably the worst/unluckiest 1st round draft player to own this year... so I'm OK with avoiding relegation.
And I had really realized, drafting between temek/EB, that I didn't have much hope of winning.
Turns out Team-McDavid, drafting 2... and away from the three of us... was the winner.

Next year, I hope duntroon gets a closer draft to temek/LOTR/EB so he can prove his worth "in traffic".
    Nonetheless, Congratulations to the Champ!

Haha, nice to have you around for next year. If only for the comedy instead of the competition

Who won this league the year before? Was it CCCF? I think Yellow Dogs was very close 2nd.

CCCF beat me by half a point. IIRC I had finally caught him and gotten into first on the second last day but went back behind on the last day.

I feel like this is my year too Peng, so we might have to settle for a tie at the top!

I put all my fantasy luck into the pick spot in this draft by not picking a QB in Dobber Tier I FantasyFootball last night.
Yes, you can bank "luck". McDavid, pick #1... I'm coming for you!!!
    I want the McDavid.
