Default I feel to is expensive, but might be worth

    Hi all,

I have received this offer from another GM. I feel his offer is too expensive, but my situation is that I am strong on defence, and a bit weak with by forward depth. 4 def best def counts, 9 forwards and 1 goalie. The rest is back-up. League setting in my signature.

He is offering his M. Tkachuk, Sandin, Bouchard and 3rd round pick (which might be the first pick of the round) vs my Werenski, Suzuki, Sergachev and my last pick (round 10).

    My team is:
Forwards: McDavid, Kucherov, Hall, Teravainen, Backstrom, Fiala, Meier, Suzuki, Thomas, Marchesseault, Nelson, Gusev, D. Strome and Puljujarvi
Def: Makar, Werenski, Pietrangelo, DeAngelo, Sergachev, Burns
    Goalie: Vasilievskyi, Lehner

So I feel after Backstrom is a bit weak (or at least players that are still in progress, or just ok). You do it and take the hit, or you decline?

    Many thanks

I decline. You’re giving up too much good young D particularly for unproven assists. In a keep 12 the third rd move up isn’t worth all that much. Keep what you have.

Not even close. Werenski and Sergachev for Tkachuk and a pick upgrade is a big loss, and then getting two prospects while you lose the better one is also not really a win for you.

I have declined. He came back with Werenski Suzuki 2nd round pick vs M. Tkachuk, Sandin and last pick.

I have also declined. I feel it is too early to compromise next year assets (my 2nd pick).

    Thanks

Even without the picks added on that counter is a bad one. Time to move on
