Thanksgiving Keeper Input

Any little insight on my keeper situation is nice. League setup in the sig.

C: Eichel, Pettersson, Kopitar
LW: Marchand, Teravainen (RW), Hertl (C), Benn (C)
RW: Marner, Wilson, Palmieri, Tatar (LW)
D: Carlson, Makar, Pietrangelo, Barrie, Yandle
G: Andersen, Hellubuyck, Rinne

We are allowed to trade keepers for picks and what not so I'll be trying to do that before the season, but because we're all tinker'ers just some insight is helpful and time burning

I normally am not a big D keeper when it comes to limited keepers, but you clearly have two of the best. Marner was the hardest cut but it was either him or Marchand. I went with Marchand.

I like Axe's list but I would keep Marner in place of Helle. In a limited keeper you need your keepers to be studs. We know what Marner is and will be, but Helle is less predictable (I also go over why he's a 'sell' option in my Capped article from yesterday).

I prefer to keep a goalie when and if I can if they are worth it. I feel Hellebuyck is worth it. I agree they can be unpredictable, but praying one will be available that's worth drafting always makes me nervous. It's such a hard category to find sometimes.

The OP knows his league best, and if he thinks there's a few Hellebuyck's available for re-drafting, I could agree with you. I am just going with what I know.

Yeah, I think they're close enough that it comes down to personal preference, and I will take the skater over the goalie 99 times out of 100.

Just one observation - with FOW, Pettersson's value decreases big time unless he starts taking more. You expect your centres to take faceoffs so having someone hardly taking any is significant. Obviously his offense is strong and could be elite so the FOW might not be a big deal, but just something I thought might need to be considered.

Marchand is hard to lose, but he may not play half this condensed season, and will be another year older after the next. I agree goalies are hard to keep but i do think Helle is one you dont want to lose

This is the list I'd go with. Cutting Marchand seems like a bad idea, but since off-season trading is available, I would definitely try to dangle him and see what's out there (whether you get a nice package of picks or upgrade another keeper).
His injury and off-season surgery is also of concern, but since we're most likely looking at a later January start at this point, it's hard to say how much time he's really going to miss.

This is my list. Its pretty much a straight scoring league, so no way I'm dropping a marner for an older Marchand.

Would you guys move Makar+Pettersson for Pastrnak?

I know Pastrnak is a full fledged superstar, but I wouldn't make that trade.

I think Pettersson can eventually do similar things as to what Pastrnak is currently doing (points wise), and Makar has a legit shot to be the best D in fantasy for a long time. Just my 2 cents.

No, but I'd move Pettersson+Marchand.

I think those are your 2 weakest keepers, due to Marchand's injury, and Pettersson's lack of faceoffs.
