The Price to Land Hart

Hi all,

Looking to improve my goalie core and have the opportunity to trade for Carter Hart, but the cost is high with goalies being at a premium. Would you move a player like Rantanen, Pastrnak, etc. for him?

i load up on young goalies also but for me and your setup (if league in sig) especially with TOI as a stat i would not make this move.

you have Vas, Murray, petersen that i think will be a good core of goalies. added oettinger on the way.

i think your goalie core is pretty good for a 16 team league.

It's a start 2, with a weekly min of 5 goalie starts.

nah, your team is obscenely stacked for a 16-team, I do not see any opponent honestly beating that roster. I mean honestly who the f*ck did your fellow managers select?!?!?

Even with 6 of our scoring categories being for goalies? Goalies in our league can win a matchup...

I drafted smart back in the 2013 draft when the other gms weren't too high on prospects and sold high on other players leaving their prime. Got lucky.

Was hoping to leverage my depth to shore up either my goalies or defense.

regardless so much star power in a league where your "depth" forwards should not be anywhere close to the likes of Nylander and Teravainen. Going back to my original point, you do not need to make a move for a goalie because of the overpowering nature of the roster plus you own Vas already. You have to be routinely curb stomping other teams with this squad, I do not see how it is even close.

I wouldnt move Pastrnak for him, but I'd certainly consider Rantanen. Then I'd look at flipping Mrazek. Hart would easily become your 2nd best goalie and an upgrade to everyone not named Vasilevskiy.

I honestly get hammered at times by peripheral stats such as +/-, hits, blocks, and goalie stats. Since Mrazek isnt the most reliable and Dubynk/Murray have tailed off.

I would do it straight up if it came to that, but if you think you can get more, go for it.

I agree that you should ask for something else, but it seems like in your setup it wouldn't be a lot that you would be able to ask for on top of Hart.

Current offer proposed to me is Rantanen + Nylander + Trouba for Hart and McAvoy
