Dobson, Brannstrom, Bouchard, Valimaki

Hi all,

Dobber has them ranked 2, 3, 4 and 5. Let's writte-off next year as I don't think any of them should be fantasy relevant like Makar, Hughes or Dahlin from game 1.

How do you rank them in 1-3 years? Who has more chance to become a stud in this window?

Brannstrom has the talent of Bouchard or Valimaki but Chabot's presence is an obstacle. Dobson I see as a notch below the others in offensive ability and will more of a Doughty-style minute muncher who may get NYI PP1 time out of necessity, as opposed to ability.

Both of the above two posters are pretty dead on how I see things as well for years 2-5.

That being said, I think next year there's a higher chance of Dobson coming in and soaking up Toews' empty PP1 minutes, and being more fantasy relevant than the other three.

Valimaki is my personal preference here honestly. Clearest path to the top I think and the flames clearly love him. 1.8 blocks per game as a 19 year old rookie playing 15 mins, albeit small 20 odd game sample size. Playing very well right now overseas. I like what I’ve seen.

Long term, in a points only format, I see them ranked:

Brannstrom

But it's really hard to put much space between any of them.
