Hronek vs Ekholm
I believe that Hronek is the better offensive player, but does he hold down the main #1 PP dman spot this season? and the next 2 or 3 seasons. As Cholowski didn't win it from him last season and looks primed to start in the AHL. Seider could start in the AHL and then come up. But would he be their PP quarterback?
Is Ekholm a safe bet to keep up with low to mid 40's in points?
Was last season just a bad year all around for Nashville offensively? (Minus Josi)

I think Ekholm is the better offensive player. the problem is Ellis & Josi are better than Ekholm
You see flashes of this when Ellis/Josi miss time.
Hronek has the opportunity in Det to become 'the man'
Ekholm is what he is.
I would take Hronek based on that.
One caveat would be if you count +/- then you have to take Ekholm - otherwise you're almost forfeiting that category next year

Hmm. It's a card based sim league. Since I don't know what game, nor how they bake the stats to generate a card, I suggest you try and look at defenders who are +/- outliers but otheriwse reasonably productive over the last few years and look at their cards. If it seems like +/- isn't overly important, I certainly want Hronek.
I think Hronek can hold down PP1, and Ekholm is the #3 PP defender on Nashville, who has good D scoring, but lousy F scoring - at least not concentrated. Plus they now have a bad coach. I'd probably take Hronek overall, but if you find +/- is really important, go Ekholm for this year. I'm unsure if he's protected by Nashville or not for expansion.

I have moved Ekholm for their 14th overall draft pick.
So hopefully I can grab either of these guys; Dach, Boqvist, Brannstrom, Gusev or Zadina.

Well didn't get Dach. Sucks because I loved watching him play here in Saskatoon. But did draft Adam Boqvist at 14th
Zadina at 16th
I also had 1st overall and took Makar.
