I make that deal for Krug 100% of the time.
I would be trading away Kyrou, Blais and Sanford and obtaining Krug.
Not sure how I fit Krug's salary, but it is a great contract.

yeah go for it...i think he maybe even better in STL than he was in Boston. I just think on that PP he maybe a guy thing go throught..in Boston he was #4. So while they may score bit less than Boston on PP, his name show up even more often on the score sheet than it did in Boston and we all know he was lethal there.

Yeah, this is an easy accept.
Krug is a proven top d-man producer; the others are maybes.
I don't think your league format would change my thinking, but it would be helpful to know roster size, categories, etc.

Yep I would accept!
Krug is a top producing dman! Will see more ice in STL I think.
Take the deal and run!
I like the idea on talent, but this gives me pause:
I'd want to see what dead weight you can cut to make this cap hit work. Not sure how I fit Krug's salary, but it is a great contract.

Yes ... I have the 'benefit' of Pasta/Seguin on LTIR to start the season whenever that is ... so I have time and lots of cap space until then.
Really my options are Kopitar who is an amazing producer, but super expensive at $10 big ones. I'll get nothing in return for him and lose almost the same amount of fantasy points that Krug gets. The other option is Silfverberg who @ 47pts (?) and $5.3 isn't super bad, but not great either. 3rd is Bailey, who I think is underrated. 55pts and $5mln seems good to me. He's my latest Bozak.

So you really don't have cap space exactly, you have a LTIR cap exemption to start the year.
Kopitar is a star on the decline who is still good. Expensive, but good.
Silvferberg is dead weight and that's a bad contract, he's 30 with no upside. Cut him free, and find an cheap guy at some position with a pulse. I realize your league is very deep, I'm in one with 900+ total rostered, but there are still NHL players who are rosterable in it.
Bailey is okay, he at least is over the 10 points per million benchmark we often hear discussed for forwards, and not in decline.

If you're not sure how to fit Krug's salary in.. that usually means you've got excess fat you can cut off from the roster.
he's on a good contract.
identify your bad ones and see if you can trade them away

Agree w/others.
Take Krug. He's going to put up big numbers with STL, like he did with BOS (though... that PP1 unit was pretty dynamic - arguable, probably, by some... if they build in the BOS PP2 unit data stats that he didn't play with...)
Anyways - I'm not as big a fan of Kyrou as others. I think he's still being overrated - and hopefully this GM in trade-talks is overvaluing him.
A few prospect pundits (notably Pronman) are a little too gaga over Kyrou's skating.
Great skating is really important in modern NHL... it truly COMPLIMENTS players with high-level hockey IQ (ex. McDavid).
But if the player does NOT have a super high-level hockey IQ/hockey sense and only has average or sub-average hockey sense (ex. Skinner) - it doesn't translate.
I think Kyrou is going to be more similar to Skinner... one or two magical seasons... but mostly, a guy that won't click with every linemate.
So... Krug-side, for sure.
In the end:
Krug
