Tipett vs Keller

I got an offer in my points only & cap league
Keller (what i receive)
vs
Tipett and 3rd round 2020
What you have to know is that i target a championship in 5-6 years and i think that keller is more a valuable player than tipett on a long term shot. For the salary, it doesn't matter because i am right on the floor cap with a lot of prospects with entrance contracts.

For the league in your signature? Feels like you're a lot closer than 5-6 years, but yeah I'd probably do that anyway. I'd try and revise your outlook to 3 years max, otherwise you're gonna get stuck in an infinite rebuilding loop. Trying to speculate on who's doing what and where in 5-6 years is going to be a pretty tough proposition. Hell, Keller is going to 28-29 by then, he might be past his prime.

I have a few thoughts.
First, that's an ridiculously easy accept. Keller is about half a year older than Tippett.
Second, Targeting anything in 5-6 years is crazy. You should be aiming for much sooner. I see it was a choice in this league to start that way, but the issues are that leagues fold, and crazy stuff happens to people. So aimng too far out increases the likelihood that you won't be in the league for that long. You have what looks to be decent goaltending, so the window is as soon as you get the forwards to do it.

I'm not overly high on Keller. I think he's overhyped and now overpaid. Personally in a cap league, I don't touch him.
Yes, you have cap space today but a lot of your guys on ELCs are soon to he paid so that cap space will disappear quick.
I'm passing and avoiding Keller.

Thanks for the answer guys, yes it's the league in my signature. Everyone go in the short term way.So my strategy to start from the bottom and plan for futur.
As i undestand i might target in my draft and my trades a 3 years championship window right? With the lineup that i have, you think that might win sooner than later ?

I was very high in Keller when he landed but have since backed off. I’d hold on Tippet myself. Given this is a cap league even further pushes this to a hold as i don’t think you’ll get the points/$ that is easy to digest.

I would hold off on trading for Keller and would never plan for more than 3 years out
