Ltd keeper : move McDavid ?

Keep 6, team and scoring in signature.

I know McDavid is a must keep in a limited keeper. However I'm not a big fan and wanted to explore what the possible return would be, then decide if moving McDavid would improve my 6 keepers. Marchand is another I would like to move.

I have identified my 6 keepers as : McDavid, Marchand, Scheifele, Rielly, Vas, Andersen.

One team offered any two players from their roster for McDavid. ( Their noteables: Panarin, Marner, Point). Thoughts ?

With only 6 keepers I can't see it ever being worth the best player in the league. Weird that you don't like him but I guess you can move him for that reason.

I gave up MacKinnon & Kucherov last season for McDavid & Marchand. It was the thrill in obtaining McDavid, however I do prefer to follow MacKinnon & Kucherov compared to McDavid & Marchand. Maybe I just need an attitude adjustment lol. Will see what's offered and go from there.

Well I will say I prefer macK and Kuch to McDavid and Marchand. But its splitting hairs. I wouldnt be keeping 2 goalies in a keep 6 so Andersens spot can be replaced. If you can get 2 studs for McDavid maybe I would consider it but at this point I would try and package Andersen and one of your non keepers for an upgrade of that last keeper spot.

I can see how this would be tempting, as Panarin/Marner would be tempting due to getting elite wings, and you could take Point and one of those guys to get a good center back.

I think the problem you may have is rooting for Marchand. Maybe moving him in some sort of deal solves your issue?

I am against moving Connor alas if you want to move him upon successfully dealing Marchand, then it should be a youth movement all the way for you in return, so I am going with Point/Marner. Marner over Andersen with you already owning Vas and limited keeper a viable second option will be available.

In a limited keeper there is not a lot of choices. McDavid is the player to own....

If you trade McD on a 2-1 then you have to drop someone else. Not worth it. Find a Bruins fan and trade him Marchand.

12 team keep 6 is the same as my own league and I also have McDavid. I would not move McDavid if you cant get a MacKinnon, Kucherov or at least Matthews or Eichel type as the centerpiece plus another keeper improvement. Make them pay up. Realistically, I would only consider moving him for MacKinnon right now.

Normally I would agree on Andersen, but you have to read the league settings. It's a 12 team start 3G!!! That's 36 goalies rostered not including bench spots. Goaltender value is inflated in this league, so keeping Vas and Andersen is solid unless you have better options. Not to mention it's only 6F+1U, which is 7F per team and only 84 rostered + bench! That's very shallow for forwards. Looking at his other players listed, there isn't anyone else I would keep over Andersen. He's made the right call.

Of note is that with 7F vs 4D, D gain a bit of extra value here as well, but 3G x 12 teams is by far the deepest setup I've seen.

As for McDavid, I'm with the others. He is a VERY tough move in a keep 6. Marner and Point isn't terrible, but I don't think it makes up the gap.

All for moving Marchand if you can find a taker, but that might be more difficult given his age.

I would keep McDavid -

Panarin & Marner would be my choice of those 3. Point's just not in the same tier of conversation to be considered.
but to make this move you need to then drop a player
which then makes it essentially
McDavid & Rielly for Marner & Panarin

I sort of agree about Andersen, but the really weird thing is that it requires only 4 goalie starts and the categories are heavily skater leaning. So I still want to go with dominating via skating.
