Without knowing anything about the league, yes point is the better option 9.99/10
Points only. Not team in sig. I need a D man but feel I should get more point than Deangelo or do you mash accept?

I think u should get more. DeAngelo has a heck of a lot of hype going for him now and will probably rack up the points on the NY powerplay. But I cant shake the feeling that fox is the long term option there and may even push for it this year if DeAngelo slips. Point on the other hand is a shoe in for a ppg. And with his age and linemates I would say you could and should get an addition.
Point
Point by a fair margin!!!

To switch gears, what about Point for John Carlson?
Point for Carlson is much closer. I would want to know the league size and how many D are on each team before committing to an opinion.
- I said... "God damn this tablet is heavy!"
I would do that if you were ready to go and had C depth to fill the void Point will leave. Carlson has done nothing but improve year over year in the last three years, but that's gonna plateau, and possibly start dropping off next couple years. Point had a bit of a down year, unless you consider his 120 point playoff performance.
Like I said, if I had the C depth to cover Point, I'd probably do that, although I'd push for a bit of a sweetener and not worry at all if the trade didn't pan out.

Point for DeAngelo is a "send future trade offers from this person to a special mail folder I will mostly ignore" offer.
Point for Carlson can make sense, depending on roster & situation.

Point for Carlson is pretty good if you need a D-man. Point for Tony is a scam and a half...

Point for Carlson if you need D is a good deal.
Point for ADA is mainly bad due to the uncomfortable-sens people hold on his long term upside. No one's a believer he's a 65+pt yr in yr out guy yet.
The talent is there, but is the head to get and keep him there, actually there.
Which means, ADA is valued a lot by his owners because that's how they view his trade value.
You want to buy him based on the negative of the unknown -- lesser value than Point.
I actually think ADA is going to become an elite offensive D option in 2-3 years... but I want a big add in that deal to move Point for him.

I wouldn't do Point for Carlson due to age. But i really wouldn't do Point for D'Angelo. Essentially no matter the scoring.
McDavid/Necas/ Kucherov/Bjorkstrand/Rust/Nugent Hopkins/Cirelli/Zegras/- Letang/Morrissey/Dahlin - Swayman/Saros/Skinner
Prospects include:
McTavish/Clarke/Bordeleau
Dumais/Korchinski/Hutson
Don't worry I'm not going to say anything more than I have to. If that.
Point is near untouchable in points only IMO and certainly not for just Deangelo
