    Default Dubois vs Sergachev

I need to shop for an up and coming forward by using one of my defensman not named Hughes or Makar. Would this be a good target and is Sergachev a fair offer piece?

I think that's a good start & the only one I'd want to move with value.

thinking as a PLD owner... unless I need D desperately, I'm asking for another piece with Serg.

Agreed. I have a feeling he'll ask for one of your other 3 top D.

It would depend on where his team is and what his D and F look like as well. It aint a bad offer at all.

That seems like a reasonable offer to me. You might have to add a little something to make it work, but I think it's fairly close, depending on team needs, preferences, etc.

I traded PLD for Provorov last season.
PLD is first line and PP1... Provorov similar
Sergachev is behind Hedman and that seems to limit his ability to reach his upside.

I'd do the PLD for Sergachev deal but would if I was getting PLD. Don't value Sergachev as high as I do Provorov from an opportunity/team role standpoint.

is anyone other than PLD available?

in point only league, PLD is not that valuable, he's more a multicat good C with peripherals (FOW, HITS, etc) and is going into his 4th year (which is usually breakout). However, i don't see him doing 75+ anyday, as he's more valuable when there are peripherals..

Sergachev i think will surprise many this year. He got more PP duties during playoffs and i think he will have more opportunities this year so Hedman can rest a bit more..

i would keep sergachev or shop serg for another forward, unless you are fine with a 70pts player

As a Dubois owner, I can tell you I’d turn this down 10 out of 10 right now. Sergs production is capped off by the presence of hedman. Yes he got more opportunity in the playoffs but that can’t be counted on.

There’s nobody in the way of dubois and his top center/top pp duties.

Now, I’m a couple of years I may feel different but I can say that about everything in fantasy hockey

I’d be asking for a plus on top for sure if I was trading dubois in this scenarios

Fair enough, I guess I need to hope Yzerman can somehow wrestle Killorn & Sergachev away from the cap strapped Lightning!

Unfortunately Detroit is clearly into a rebuild. Trading for Killorn or offer-sheeting Sergachev is going to cost draft picks - which Detroit does not want to be giving up. Maybe they could get Killorn cheap but to offer sheet Sergachev, at least with one that has teeth, would be very costly from a pick standpoint. That won't happen.

Fair enough and I agree on the offer sheet. I was thinking more of a trade to relieve Tampa if it’s cap crunch that benefits both teams
