Default Patrick Kane’s value going forward....

Was thinking of making a play for Patrick Kane. I’m always competing for a championship so I’m always close. The question is, is Kane worth acquiring this late in his career. And if yes, what’s his value, and what should I offer for him. The owner of Kane is in a full rebuild and I could make an offer for both Kane and Toews, although I’m more interested in Kane at this point. Sig is below. Thanks

I don't think I'd make much of a play for Towes.

Guys tend to lose their shine as they age. Kane may be a solid target as I expect him to continue to be productive, and if you can entice his owner with some shiny mid-level prospects and/or picks, you might be able to get him at a peanuts price. It's worth a try.

Kane is definitely a buy low if thats possible. He'll be an elite point producer for 2-3 more years at least and that's all that matters in fantasy.

    Leave toews out of it

i think you will find hard market for Kane..he still holds value. If this is for team in your sig, and i own Kane, im asking for Konecny and Kaprizov. If you the owner is ok to get only prospects back it will probably be Kprizov, zadina/podkolzin and Boqvist. Maybe Kaprizov, Boqvist and first round...not sure but it wont be cheap.

i tried to get Kane for the bargain this year and did not work...but second tire older guys are much more affordable, for example i moved from Kane and got Wheeler for 13th overall pick in 2020.

Kane is a great target. He was on pace for 98 pts last season and had 110 the previous season. Colliton gives him well over 20 minutes per night. I project 3 more years of elite scoring from him. He has been healthy throughout his career and his game was never built on speed. He's the kind of player who'll still get 65 pts when he is 38 years old.

I just offered a Kane owner my O'Reilly and Puljujarvi for him. Let's see. If he laughs in my face, he way overvalues him.

Laughed in my face. He is definitely overvaluing his stars. His team has maybe 3 stars and the rest are solid "C" players. O'Reilly would become his number 2 C only behind Barkov and Puljujarvi would become his number 2 RW behind Kane. Ughhhh.....I told him that depth wins championships (even in fantasy). He didn't even counter. Whatevs.....

I would easily package a couple of your prospects and evaluate the interest.
If I'm rebuilding, you have some good pieces to build an offer around.

I agree with the others, Kane yay - Toews nay.
    Points-only keeper league. 12 teams. Keep any 12 players. Dress 12F - 6D - 2G.

Great idea to target him. Also, WOW you have a great team! Maybe offer him Konecny & Strome? Or mix a prospect or two in there if he prefers that.
