I'm not sure for 3 years. All are close long term. It could be a complete flip flop from next year lol.

Thanks Axeman. Wasn't sure between Yams and Bjorkstrand. Almost took Yams last pick but opted for Fiala. Right choice?

Yeah, there's 4 aren't even in the same league as Fiala for this year or next 3 years even.
Fiala is a beast, should be good for 30/30 next year I think. Once Kaprizov gets his feet wet a little bit in NA and Rossi is ready to step into that 1st line center role (could see him doing it as soon as next year) with that line and D-core, I could see Fiala putting up 35-40 goals and 70+ points easy.

im high on Cozen and as his owner in 3 leagues this rating hurts but you cant argue against it for next year.

I also think that 2-4 is very close and those 3 could flip around.

I've got no issues taking Fiala before these four, but I am not as horny on Fiala as many around here seem to be. I think he will be a solid player, but I dont think he will end up being that much better off than guys like Yamamoto or Bjorkstrand (assuming health for all of these guys of course).

it depends what much better means. I think Fiala will be consistent 70 point guy. And other than Yamamoto maybe, i dont expect other guys to be that at all....more between 50-60 on consistent basis imo.

Now 10 point does not sound like a lot but there is huge difference between 60 point guy in 70 point guy in NHL

You let me know when Fiala hits 70pts in a season and then we can agree to disagree.

I don’t get me wrong, in 3 years time I think Cozens is most likely at the top of this pile.

    I agree with this.
So much hype on Fiala now, but 10mths ago he was on the waiver wire in 70% of keepers under 14tms.
    then he took off.

Is he really a pt/gm player?
Can we even say that when he's never come close over 82gp?

All 4 guys listed - plus Fiala have unknown ceilings.
They seem similar now, but one could have everything click and just go off, putting himself in another tier.

Fiala seems the safest to be a 70+ player and to get there first.
Yamo & Bjorkstrand seem to be a step ahead of Necas.

Cozens hasn't sipped any coffee yet. So he lags behind, but realistically could hold the highest ceiling of all.

I'm one that likes to compete as soon as possible so I would have taken them Fiala - Bjorkstrand - Yamamoto - Necas - Cozens in that order.
If I were a rebuilding team not expecting to compete for another 2yrs then I'd be looking at Fiala - Cozens, Necas/Yam - Bjork.
But they're all crammed together in either scenario as their all similar tiered players.

Default Re: Bjorkstrand vs Yamamoto vs Necas vs Cozens

Funny...I just acquired Fiala and plan to draft Yamamoto in our draft. Both have potential, imo, based on small sample sizes last season. I wouldn't be surprised if neither player pans out, but I think they are both players worth considering if the cost isn't too high.

There certainly is reason to be optimistic about both players. Both were highly-touted at one point, and may be on the verge of breaking out given the opportunity each player was given last season. I'm hoping the production continues.
