    Default 2nd, 6th, 7th and 12th overall picks

    Hi Team,

in our upcoming draft I have the 2nd, 6th, 7th and 12th overall picks. I know that Lefrenier will be picked first. The rest of this years draft class is available along with kaprizov. would you take Karpizov over any of this years draftees? who else would you target with my other picks?

I;d take Byfield 2nd overall. I dont think you'll see Kaprizov by the time your next pick comes around, but if he's still there, I'd take Kaprizov 6th.

In a limited keeper I'm going Kaprizov 2nd. He should be putting up meaningful points this year and in a limited keeper I'm taking the immediate production over Byfield's slight bit higher ceiling. As for 6 & 7 I take whoever is left of Rossi, Raymond, Perfetti, and Holtz.

Are rookies kept separately from your keep 8?
If yes, go for Byfield at 2 and then Kaprizov at 6 (I doubt he'll be there but snag him if he is).
If it's a set keep 8 including rookies I'd go for Kaprizov at 2 as he'll give you production and you can judge whether to keep him as one of your 8 a lot better then Byfield (who is 3-4 years away from being productive).
As for your lower picks, shop them around along with a D (Dumba/Ekbad) to upgrade your goalie but if you can't then just go for BPA

Your 12th pick hasn't been discussed yet but don't overlook Anton Lundell. He seems to be dropping a smidge in fantasy drafts lately, my guess being he's considered "too safe" to be fantasy-relevant because his 200ft game being touted as his strength. He's a good playmaker with a great shot that's being severely underrated. He just came returned to Liiga today after missing a week and a half and has a hattrick already. It's the 2nd period.

    2nd goal - Penaly shot
    3rd goal- 100' of his 200' game

    edit: 4th goal

By your keepers, you have a young team, and you can afford to wait a couple/few years for a prospect. (Can you keep prospects beyond the 8 that you list?). But if you’re only keeping 8 total beyond this 2021 season, then you need to take players who will be relevant by 2021-22 or it’s pointless. #2, Kaprizov. #6, if available, Rossi - or make Askarov a “project” and plan to have him for 10 years. After that, unless you can keep minors guys separately, who cares?

12-team, H2H. Keep 12, but drop 2 of top four skaters, and also 2 of next six, then five more (from end-of-year rankings). One GK max.

    Stutzle, Sergachev
    Keller, Doughty, Verhaeghe, ErikssonEk
    E.Lindholm, Barzal, J.Gaudreau, Huberdeau, S. Wright

Good point, this seems like a very odd setup if you're not keeping prospects separately beyond the 8 keepers. What is even the point of having a prospect draft if that is the case? Kaprizov has to be number 2 if this is the setup.

If you are going to have to keep these players instead of your 8 actually productive NHL players, I'd do this:

    2. Kaprizov

Rest of picks trade for upgrades in regular veteran draft or keeper upgrades.
