    Default Jack Ahcan

I'd like to hear anyone's opinion about Ahcan.
He's being compared to Torey Krug because of his size/career patern/offensive d-men/and the fact he signed with the Bruins.
But is it a legit comparison in terms of fantasy upside??

There's comparisons I suppose because both are smaller, offensive Dmen, but to be fair (P7), not many expected Krug to become what Krug actually became either. I think people want to see a similarity for certain reasons, but that's asking a lot of a kid who still has a lot to prove.

we're starting to see more and more high end smaller Dmen become successful point producers.
Time will tell if Ahcan's will transition to the NHL... his skating and puck handling are good enough. But there's so many other intangibles involved in successful transitions.

Krug, Hughes, Ellis, Girard, Spurgeon, Butcher, Makar, Fox, Mete (maybe too soon to add him),

Also seeing guys like Grzelcyk, Russell, who are more defensive Dmen have success.

Only Makar is 5'11 on this list so perhaps could be excluded.

DeBrincat is 5'7" -- use to be an anomaly for a player to be 5'10" or smaller and find real success in the NHL. Now there's quite the list of shorter players.
