Default Pionk - Ellis - Letang

    Points only pool

which of these guys would you drop considering my window to win is in 2-5 years ?

Is Pionk the PP1 guy in Winnipeg or Morrissey will be soon?

    thanks

Points only I would go Ellis here. Slight edge over Letang because of Letang's injury history and could see a decline earlier.

Pionk is preferable in multi-cats but Morrissey should be seeing the PP1 time.

how you figured PP1 is Morrissey's to loose?

Last year Pionk had 25 PP in 71 games which i believe is most by D in Winnipeg since Bib Buff's 26 points in 75 games in 2013-2014. he also did in with half minute of PP ToI per game less than Buff had that year.

Morrissay did pretty good with his 1:45 ToI on PP with 12 points but i dont know why they would let him run the PP over Pionk, just dont see it personally.

Letang even with missed games can put up better numbers than the other 2.
The question becomes which of the other 2 to keep.
I'd gamble on Pionk over Ellis because Ellis has a tougher road block in front of him than Pionk.
Also Pionk's preferable numbers are better.
If possible I'd try to trade both for an upgrade. Maybe offer to a manager that thinks a player has lost their PPTOI, like Theodore.

Ellis is the easy choice her for me.

Im not sure if they will be successful, but I think Winnipeg tries very hard to bring in a #1 Dman. If they are able to, that would limit Pionk’s points only value.

That leaves Ellis and Letang. Ellis is a few years younger than Letang, and since your window is in 2-5 years, this is why Ellis is the easy choice over Letang in my opinion.

The OP is asking which 1 to drop or which 2 to keep. Some of you are giving reasons why he should keep 1. If your window is in 2-5 years, your window is really in 2 years, maybe 3 if your team is all junk & prospects, but with this decision, I'm not sure why that would be.

Letang is the best player here, and Pittsburgh is the offensive dynamo team of the 3.
Pionk does likely have PP1 for now in Winnipeg.
Ellis does NOT have PP1 in Nashville, and won't anytime soon, barring injury.

Who are your other D, and how many total keepers do you have? Actually, might as well just give us the roster for full info.

Ellis and Letang are your best pure point producers.

Pionk only gets close due to the other two's injury histories.

That said, you take a player off the waiver wire to replace Ellis/letang during injury and Pionk will not match that combined total.

82gm pace Ellis & Letang have 60+pt potential.
    Pionk 40-50pt.

it's not that close for me in a pts only. I drop Pionk. And it's not a move i would question afterward.
