I love the part in the speech where Obama says "Imagine if people found out I had a secret Chinese bank account when I was running for re-election, Fox news would have called me Beijing Barry".

Looking forward to watching that 60 Minute interview with Biden on Sunday. Should be pretty informative.

Here Obama imagines how great it would be if we had a President who didn't retweet preposterous conspiracy theories.

Another great 4 minutes of Obama's speech here. It is not even about Trump. It is about how the government and its appointees are running the country into the ground right now.

As a Canadian who loves politics and hates reality TV, I am not sure if sure if I should be thanking or condemning Americans for the upcoming election.

I really enjoyed Trump round 1, especially with many Democrats on my wife's side, but i don't know if I can go through this again.

Maybe just watch it when it comes out on Netflix.

Not a big fan of Barack..great speaker yes, charismatic and very eloquent, but I place my vote more on policies than the man. I know I represent the minority but I don't think he accomplished much as president.

You want to talk about Barack Hussein Obama’s speech? No one cared for except the media.

Go ahead guys, back to name-calling, if it works for you.
Why do you include Hussein in his name? That’s not the norm.

Yeah, he was kind of hamstrung as a President, and I tend to agree with you. I just always respected him as a person though. Seemed like he was of a very high character from what I have gathered. Obviously I can't really know what he was like since I never met him, so perhaps it was just a really good fake

Trump and the GOP's major legislature accomplishment was a tax cut in which the top 1% garnered 80% of the benefit. Obama's major accomplishment was passing a healthcare bill that gave coverage to many more Americans.

I dont find comparing anything to Trump as being a helpful comparison.

Nice to watch a fairly respectful debate tonight. I don't think it will change anybodies mind going forward, as nothing new of importance was brought up, but at least it was civil and not a national embarrassment like the last debate.

The mic muting seemed to be a success.

    Well done by all involved.

When the Senate is run by the opposition, it's tough to get things accomplished.

The debate last night was much more enjoyable and respectable from both sides. I agree that it probably didn't move the needle much but those on the fence might have been swayed one way or the other. I dont think Trump did much to help move those people because he really didn't say much as far as what his plans are for going forward, should he get in for another four years. He plans on getting rid of Obama-care, but still hasn't laid out a plan on what he will do if that happens. That could be a very sad day in the US if he gets rid of affordable care and doesn't have something to automatically replace it with, especially considering the state of the American health care system with COVID still a major issue. Not good at all.

He had majority control of the Senate from 2009 to 2011, maybe not the 60 needed for total control but still.. I think that is what some uber liberal Dems are upset about, not pushing thru a left leaning agenda during those times. I doubt that will happen this time, IF Biden has both the house and senate for even a day, they will pack the courts, end filibusters and pass their agenda thru.

Can you blame them? Sounds like something both parties would do if given the opportunity.
