11th 2020 draft for Konecny

Should i trade 11th overall in the 2020 entry draft for Konecny?

This is a 24 team salary cap H2H league. we are currently in the inaugural draft. I believe i have a playoff team (winning team not sure yet).

Roster: 3C, 3LW, 3RW, 2F, 1S, 6D, 1G, 5BN, 5 IR (30 farm)
Skater Categories: G, A, STP, GWG, PIM, SOG, Hits, Blks, FOW, SHTOI, TK-D
Goalie Categories: W, SV, SV%, GAA, SO

Currently sitting at 8.9mil in free cap with one roster spot open and Hintz who still doesnt have a contract.

We use AAV and Konecny is at $5.5M. doesnt leave me with a ton of room for hintz or other deals (but i hope hintz signs at around 3).

I'd do it. Konecny produces more than his cap hit. You lose flexibility, but if you think you can compete for sure go for it

You can go for it. I think you would be able to flip him for more than that if you find yourself cap-strapped.

I'd lean toward doing it, but if you could, I'd wait until your 2020 draft to see if a plum prospect falls to you. That carries the risk of the Konecny owner backing out if their preferred person isn't there, of course.

Yeah Konecny is a good player who hasn't reached his ceiling. Your pick would probably be equal to Konecny at best.

That's an instant accept. Konecny provides great value for his contract in a cap league. Hopefully you've accepted.

Mash accept here.. 11th OA is 2+yrs from any real help. Konecny is on a good contract as well.
If you find yourself in cap trouble down the road he won't be the culprit.
You'll have dead $$ you can discard somewhere.
