Tavares vs M.Tkachuk

Received an interesting offer in my dynasty league, cats in signature below.

His Tavares and D.Perron for M.tkachuk, Lundell and Atkinson

Centers are by far the most valuable position in this league, and I've made large moves to shore up my team there this off-season (acquiring Matthews, E. Lindholm and Seguin, drafting Byfield and Lundell). I previously had a plethora of winger depth (including minors), but now I'm much more balanced imo.

The question really is, where do we see M.tkachuk's ceiling, point wise? Does Tavares begin his decline this year, and how steep will the drop off be in the near future? What is Lundell's ceiling, and how long until he's brought up?

I'm content to sit tight with my players, and let Byfield, Lundell and Norris mature. But I'm curious about the opinions of my fellow posters!

I'll pass with hits and PIMs. Though I like JT, in a dyanasty I am not for you taking on a 30 and 32 year old for a well established 22 year old Tkachuk and then Lundell too.

really comes down to JT vs Tkachuk for me. I don't think Tkachuk will ever hit the offensive output that JT continues to do so, but in a Multi-Cat, I'm willing to guess that Tkachuk isn't too far behind JT in an overall Fan Point production. I think I'm keeping what I have if I'm you.

Ya, I'm with the rest. The youth you're giving up is the biggest factor here, as the overall trade in a vacuum isn't too far off.

Sure JT is a damn fine player, but you are adding 2 guys in their 30's and giving him players in their 20's.
I like the chance Lundell has to move into the 2nd line centre role in Florida.
