    Default [Re-signed] Tyson Jost

Such high hopes for this kid after he was drafted. Been a disappointment thus far.

based on the story and all the emotions, when i was watching this years draft the Ozzy Wiseblatt selection reminded me of Jost's selections, crying grandfathers and so on...

also had high hopes for him..he still has time and looks liek he will be an NHLer but i think hopes of him being an offensive threat are slipping away.

In fairness to Jost, that being picked "10th" overall makes us feel like he didn't live up to expectations.
But just look at the rest of the forwards in that draft from 2016

    8th - Alex Nylander
    10th - Tyson Jost
    11th - Logan Brown
    12th - Michael McLeod
    15th - Luke Kunin
    19th - Kieffer Bellows
    21st - Julien Gauthier
    22nd - German Rubtsov
    23rd - Henrik Borgstrom
    24th - Max Jones
    25th - Riley Tufte
    26th - Tage Thompson
    27th - Brett Howden
    29th - Trent Frederic
    30th - Sam Steel

Interestingly... other than DeBrincat (2nd round) & the surprising Bratt (7th round)... Jost (72 NHL points) actually has the MOST points of all forwards drafted after him.
Amazing!... right?!... just a really weak NHL draft for forwards after Tkachuk(6)/Keller(7).
Teams that went with a defenseman after Keller have just had better luck with results.
But 2016 was not a good draft for forward quality (beyond the 1/2/3/6/7).
So... for me, Jost is still a grade of "C" for being drafted where he was... better than Nylander, not as good as DeBrincat... (and I think Bratt has been overutilized on poor NJ forward depths).

Not really relevant, but Bratt has more points than Jost and he was drafted like 162. Totally irrelevant because no one would draft Bratt over Jost.

^Yeah... you don't need to quote the whole post... I got Bratt in there.
Besides - for this thread, if you aren't adding anything to the "Jost" discussion... you're just being a Nelly Know-It-All.

I'm gonna add a picture of Mr.Jost to spice up the thread.

I’m honestly encouraged by this! Was planning Jost as a drop from my first dynasty roster, but a one-year prove-it contract is exactly what he needs, whether he gets to stay with Colorado or not. (My decision to stay with Brandon Saad last year also looking better than it did.)

I'm on my cell and it's just a an extra step, that honestly takes too much time for me. But I swore I never saw the Bratt addition to the list. My bad.

Is that ScarJo or just a very good resemblance? And if it's ScarJo, what is she doing with Jost?

Haha... sometimes I don't mind people re-quoting the full post.
That IS indeed ScarJo with one Mr.Jost... though... well... I'll leave that for others to solve!!!

Gotcha. I won't lie, I have no clue what Tyson Jost looks like and that easily could have been him in the picture for all I knew.

Haha. Colin Jost (no relation) does the "Weekend Update" segment on Saturday Night Live.
I went google searching for any clever images and liked what "Jost" turned up!!!

With that wonderful interlude over, let's get back to the topic on hand.

I am trying to acquire Tyson Jost in all of my leagues this off-season. I don't know if he's going to break out this year or next but he will get more than 50 points in at least one of those 2 seasons.
