Comparables are always tough because every player is different. But having watched him play a number of Q games, I wouldn't really compare him to Patty Kane. He's a lot more physical. Not in the sense that he throws a ton of hits, but more in the sense that he doesn't mind powering his way through the dirty areas. Kind of like Crosby does, to a degree. I can also see why some would compare him to Huberdeau, and I could also say that I see some similarities to the way Kucherov plays a bit. Overall, a great playmaker that can score as well.

I saw him few times in Rimouski. Smurf54 got the best description here....
But someday, I think new NHL players will be compare to Lafreniere. This guy don’t mind to go in traffic, when necessary, and he is a pure winner...

I draft #1 and am going to take Lafreniere. So let me state that on the outset.
What a great situation to know that your linemates will include Zib, Breadman, Kakko (though has to show more of his pedigree in season 2), Strome (fingers crossed last year is more his norm not his one off), and Kreider. The more exposure to PP1 and Zib + Breadman definitely mean his upside could be 100pts. Wishful for 60+ points in his rookie season.
Panarin definitely makes his linemates better.
