Hands downs, Villardi. Most potential by far I think.
Hi all,
In a multicat league I can keep one of these guys with final "prospect" spot.
Cats are G A PPP Shots PIMs Hits Blocks Takeaways
My other prospects are Heiskanen, Patrick, Blais, Dach, Cal Petersen
Who you like?
Hands downs, Villardi. Most potential by far I think.
I have feeling majority will go with Dara bee but I also like vilardi

Definitely dont keep blais. I can get on board with vilardi and farabee, but mangiapane is in a great spot as well
Vilardi should have the 2C spot locked down. I'd keep him
Another vote for this. And at this point, I'd almost rather keep Mangiapane over Patrick. Mangiapane is looking to be in the top 6 for CGY while Patrick will be fighting just to get a spot on the 3rd line. And that's assuming he's healthy - which the fact that he accepted his QO doesn't help. That he wasn't able to get more than that from PHI makes me think that they are still concerned as well.

Vilardi with Farabee over Patrick, then Mangiapane over Blais.

Thanks all for your advice, I'll have to relook
I guess Im just in love with Blais' hits totals - 141 in 36 games along with 11 points. Feel like he can end up being a 30 point and 300 hit guy, which is pretty unique.
Im a LA fan, but surely Villardi dropped down the depth chart last week when Byfield joined LA? He will battle it out with Turcotte for 2C behind him post-Kopitar.
Do NOT go gaga over hit totals.
Those fade with time.
I've been in past leagues where I've been too in-love with Marko Dano's 40pts+BigHitTotals or in-love with David Backes' 50pts+BigHitTotals.
From experience, that shit doesn't end well.
Take the offense.
It's a long shot Byfield makes the team this year. He's one of the youngest in the draft and needs to develop. Even if Byfield makes the team, they're going to let him get his feat wet before throwing him in as the 2C
Turcotte is more likely to make the team and challenge for the 2C, but once again rookies will be eased in
Villardi proved he can handle the 2C slot last season, and frankly, they don't have anyone else nipping at his heels at the moment. Villardi has the opportunity to play meaningfull miniutes and showcase his skills.
I think it'll be 2 seasons or so before Byfield and Turcotte are really in the mix. Kopitar will be 35, maybe declining, maybe starting to take a backseat. If Villardi proves himself, I can see 2 of Villardi, Byfield, or Turcotte being the 1 and 2 C's, while the 3rd moves to wing
