I'm not convinced Murray is going to keep the job in Ott. Hogberg was much, much better than his numbers appear last year.

Gibson has no competition in Anh & on a good team would be a top 5 fantasy own.

Gibson is a top 5 goalie in the NHL...Murray is barely good enough to be an NHL starter. Ottawa is also a much worse team than Anaheim. This is not close.

Is Ottawa really much worse than Anaheim ? Who says this?
I don't believe that. I'd rather have Ottawa's roster over the Ducks' as of today. Gibson's the better goalie, I agree, but part of the reason for my post is that I think Ottawa's overall team looks like it will be a force in a couple years.

    huh ?
Ottawa is number 4 on this list. And that's before Stutzle and Sanderson.
I don't think there's any question Ottawa's future, as of now, looks brighter than Anaheim's.

Questionable rosters in front of both, arguably Ottawa has the ship turned in the right direction but it's hard to say with so much youth. I will lean towards Gibson because technically I think he's one of the best in the NHL. Murray might have a slight advantage moving forward but I don't see him in the same class talent wise as Gibson.

One of those rosters is significantly better than the other one...and it's not the one in a nation's capital.

Anaheim's roster is not "significantly better" than anybody's, except maybe Detroit's.

Sounds like you want to go with Murray. So go for it.

Ottawa definitely has a better prospect group than Anaheim, i can see they turning ship around faster, but they do need a better goalie imo..i still think Gibson is better play even if his team is not as good.

I didn't say that. But I'm allowed to challenge bullshit, no? Do you agree that Anaheim's roster is "significantly better" than Ottawa's ? Speak up, if so.
    Cause I don't.

Honestly - I don't like either team a ton right now. But I think Ottawa has the brighter future for the moment from a prospect stand point. But will that matter in 3 years for Murray? I just don't know if Murray has his shit together. His last year in Pittsburgh was rough (.899 SV %, 2.87 GAA, -11.60 GSAA yikes!!). But he did have a lot going on. Maybe the change in scenery is what he needed. On the other hand, Gibson is clearly the better goalie. His stats last year were not great either. But better than Murray (except GAA). And the D in Anaheim is still quite good and looks to be quite a quite bit better than Ottawa. I mean Gudbranson....really? Yuck. I think Gibson is in less danger of ending up in a tandem. Who even is his back-up right now? Hogberg has shown he can play at this level, sort of. If Murray falters he may begin losing starts. Gibson won't. They are both somewhat injury prone. Not terrible, but I'd call that a wash. They should both see good SOG/SV stats. All this considered, and without knowing what G cats you actually use, I'd go Gibson.
