#Habs Allen extended 2 years, $2.875M AAV. Final year of his current contract carries a cap hit of $4.35M.
This deal gives #Habs a goalie to expose for Seattle expansion next year or buy extra time for Cayden Primeau to be ready to be Price’s backup.

I like this extension very much. Although they were already covered for Seattle by McNiven. But if Seattle does like Allen and take him it'll save the Habs from losing probably a young D prospect. Either way a good extension.Originally Posted by Goldendelicious

Yep, count me in for the good side. Decent value as it will provide quality relief for Price and reasonable insurance for any Price injury. Allen might be able to Halak the back up job if Price goes down (picture this Price owner crossing myself and saying a prayer that this doesn't happen).

They were already covered, so this is good if Seattle takes Allen, and bad if they don't. I'm going with bad unless Seattle either can find an immediate trade for Allen, or they are kind of incompetent. He won't be the best player they have exposed.

they tried using guys in the system , tried kinkaid ....I guess they realize a quality 1b is the recipe for a few more wins putting them in WC conversation .Once in , Price can steal a series
