You: Active fantasy GM and overall solid human looking to break into a high quality league.

The League: Great group of guys, in operation since 2007. Buy-in is $100 USD.

* Rosters: 28-man, 4C, 4LW, 4RW, 6D, 2G, 1 Util, plus 3 Bench, 5 Minor League, up to 5 IR
* Scoring is point-based and includes some secondary stat categories like hits and blocks.
* Hybrid season format: Total points regular season, head-to-head playoffs tracked through Google docs.
* We use a custom salary cap - all the numbers are tracked in Google docs, and you can sign players for up to 4 seasons at a time.

Available team: Rebuilder, great foundation. On top of the 1st overall pick, your core would include Tavares, Makar, Pettersson, Karlsson, Frost, just to name a few.

How many players are kept each year?

It's not a set limit, but average is around 12-15 keepers. We use a custom salary cap (tracked automatically in Google sheets using a formula that's based on past and present performance). Each team gets a cap of $400 (not real money) to sign as many players as they want within that. Absolute max would be 30 players, but that would mean a roster full of cheap players/prospects, which would be no bueno. Full details in the rules if you want to geek out a bit and get the full lay of the land.
