I'd hold any goalie in the Islanders system right now as long as Korn is there.

The Islanders have an internal salary calculator similar to others being used online. Their dollar amount for Schneider based on his play keeps fallin below the minimum NHL salary, because suckitis. The NHL keeps rejecting the contract, obviously.

Ha... he's gonna ride the Craig Anderson "easy train".
    Collect a paycheck.
Probably won't start in a game.
    Travel with the team.
    Hang out with the guys.
Rarely at either end of the practice net.
    $700k.

    Nice gig.

The problem is that there's a good chance that he "doesn't" play for 6 or 7 teams this season. Just like Anton Forsberg is going through right now. If I am in charge of the Oilers, I claim Schneider on waivers because he's a big improvement on their current back up goalie, Stuart Skinner. Schneider's probably also still better than Mike Smith who didn't skate or dress yesterday.

If Schneider gets sent to Taxi Squad. I dunno if he's 100% gauranteed to be put through waivers. Could run 3G, since the team is running 13F, 8D, 2G right now.
