My guess is Nilsson gets the job next year, assuming he's healthy. It's not like Ottawa needs to cut salary, or anything. With Hogberg, Daccord and Gustvasson ... the AHL situation will also be interesting. Gustvasson may actually fall to third on that list, if you go by last year's performances...

His QO is $3.75. He’s unlikely to come in below 4, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he was pushing 4.5-5

Ya, I knew it was more than $3M.
A lot will depend on how many of his UFA years they want to buy. I will be surprised to see him sign for less than $5M per season but we'll see.

I doubt he signs. I think he goes to arbitration and then walks as a UFA next year when the goalie market will probably be better. I think the only other goalie of consequence in UFA next year is Freddie Andersen
