LOL, ya, it's Ceci who isn't willing to sign.

He's a bottom pairing guy who thinks he's a top pairing guy. Terrible Dman.

Haha ya I am very confused by this report. Was he trying to get out in front of it?

Turns out he's way more effective off the ice

Except he's the type of guy who will sign in TB for $1.5M a year and will be wearing "your" colors again!!!

One of my best deals last offseason involved dealing Ceci and a 3rd round pick for Shattenkirk & a 5th round pick.

He has a use in deep multi-cat cap leagues if he's cheap enough, but he's a mid-pair guy at best in the NHL.

He's a 1-2mill 5/6/7 dman. He'll sign a deal and make Toronto look dumb somehow.

Honestly, he was bad, but if you had him at a few mill instead of 4+mill, people would accept the mistakes a lot more.

AND... the little jerk will win a cup in doing so.

Anyone else catch that Luke caught up to little Brother Brayden in Cup Raises in back to back years?

It’s starting to resemble the movie Good Luck Chuck. Come sign with the Leafs and do the nasty for a year or two then go elsewhere and fulfill your Stanley cup dreams.

    Kesselx2
    Bozak
    Luke Schenn
    Goalie Mack (perfect example)

    ... keep the list going

Well, he also wouldnt be on the ice as much as he was in Toronto, so he'd probably make less mistakes due to less icetime.

Weaker competition too, less time on the ice = more energy too.

As a Tampa fan I was about to ask just this. Is a 1 year around 1.5 million feasible or will someone hand him 3-4 million a year since there not a lot of d-man available?
Shattenkirk is certainly gone, Bogosian probably too, Coburn can't be trusted to play a full season anymore and not dure about Schenn and Rutta, I wouldn't mind to have Ceci as a 3rd pair defenseman to backup Sergachev, with the possibility to pair him with Hedman as well.
