    Default Gaudreau Value Going Forward

In a 16-team cap league (cap hit) start 4C 4LW 4RW. Its a multi-cat point system with G & A weighted heavily over peripheral categories.

How do you guys see Gaudreau's outlook in a league like this? Salary is not an issue.

I'm still quite high on Gaudreau. There are very few players in the NHL capable of scoring 90+ pts. He is only 27 years old, so he has lots of prime years remaining. For whatever reason, the Flames are considering trading him, which is just nuts. No matter what package they get in return, they will lose out on the trade, imo. I don't understand why they'd want to trade someone like Gaudreau who scored 99 pts two seasons ago. I hear rumors of them trying to free up space to sign Hall. Hall will want more money than Gaudreau and is no longer the player who won the Hart trophy.

Anyway, all that said, I still think Gaudreau has high value in your league, and in fact it is quite possible his value increases if he goes to a team like the Flyers and gets to play with Giroux, Voracek, Couturier, and Provorov.

He's a solid contract value, and in a points centred league he fits better.

He's not in the Pastrnak kind of tier, but I would still take him over Forsberg and probably Nuge in this kind of setup.

I'd be more high on him if he ate better then Ham and Cheese and came to play in shape! Kappa

I would value him as a 75 point guy who gets no peripherals. What that's worth is up to you and your knowledge of the league settings.

I hope he gets traded. It would do him some serious good to change locations.

    70-80pt forward.

He has 302pts over his last 304games.

He's had 60pt seasons sandwiching 2 really good PPG+ seasons. He's def a top point producing winger, but that's it. Points only kind of guy.

I think he still has value in roto leagues. Hes got 1.25 point per game potential and is all over the rumor mill. What if he goes to Edmonton?? I could actuially see it- his contract is not too shabby at all- the oilers have futures that can get it done, and Tampa just won a cup proving you can build around skill and speed even if size is in short supply. I also think some guys are just better suited to supplemental roles and when he finds a home where he can attain that he might shine on like a crazy oil diamond!!
