Which of these 3 youngsters would you want for the next 1-2 years only. We only have 5 rookie keeper spots and I already have Makar, Q.Hughes, Kaprizov and Kakko.

Given the 1-2 year time frame, I give the edge to Glass because he's already been in the NHL for half a season. Robertson is just breaking in, and I'm not going to give a goalie with zero North American experience much credence for a 1-2 year period. If Sorokin is dazzling and Varlamov gets hurt or combusts, then Sorokin could be the answer.

Nick Robertson from Toronto. My need is the just "best player available" at this point. But I won't be keeping a goalie as 1 of my 5 veteran keepers.

    Sorkin, Glass, Robertson for me.

Robertson got into some playoff games, but we're unsure if he makes the Leafs next year, and I'd figure middle six deployment if he does.

Glass is established in the NHL, and that's an edge for me, but he's pretty much also a middle six guy at the moment.

Sorokin is very likely to make the Islanders, and will be a backup in a compressed season on a Barry Trotz team behind a starter who is somewhat injury prone, and does need rest more often than many. The fact that you aren't keeping a goalie is simply gravy on the meat of the decision.
