    Default Dealing Dahlin/Stone

I have an offer on the table that would have me aquire 16th overall pick this year for entry draft players(16 team league), a 1st in 2023 and Kaprizov in exchange for Dahlin and Stone. Debating on what to do and even if its worth making that big of a deal for basically 3 unknowns (as Kaprizov hasnt touched NHL ice yet)

Welcome to the forums! It really helps to know your league settings: stats, league size, roster size, keeper numbers, cap league, etc.

However in almost any league settings I would much prefer to keep Stone and Dahlin. The package you're getting back sounds more like something that should be a return for Stone alone.

Wouldn't touch that trade if it was me, and I can't really imagine a format where I would. Way too many unknowns for a guaranteed stud and a stud in the making.

While the format mattes (and provides the context), I can't really imagine a league setup where this would make sense.

Definitely not. You'd be giving up one of the best Dmen in the league and a top two-way forward for three unknowns (and the 2023 1st rounder probably won't help you for a few years so that player is about five years away from being remotely relevant if at all). It's not as if they're high picks either as the team you're dealing with is trying to contend so you're looking at low first rounders too.
As Eskimo Brother said, depending on your league format that possibly is a deal for one, but definitely not both and regardless of the format I'd stick to your proven players. Dahlin and Stone are great and are worth much more than what you're being offered.

And welcome to the forum! It's great to pass around ideas here and get feedback (but ultimately make up your own mind as it's your team and hey, you're supposed to have fun in this thing anyway). For future, put your team in the signature (it's in the Settings tab) and also tell us whether you're competing or in a rebuild, and what the league settings are (how many teams, what stats count, is there a salary cap and if so how much, any restrictions on how many players, etc.). You'll get a better answer (and reasoning) that way.

I agree to pass on this. I'd probably pass if it was 1st overall this year, honestly.

Hard pass. Now is not the time to be trading away Rasmus Dahlin.

Easy pass. Terrible trade no matter the format.

Thanks all for the input. For some reason im hung up on Kaprizov, but the points made are definitely valid, especially with Dahlin.

And yes, ill get to updating my stats soon. Thanks for the welcoming! Looks like this will be fun.

A comment I often make is "the more time you spend entertaining bad ideas, the more likely you are to talk yourself into making a bad trade"

Please give this offer the boot immediately.

Forgot to add.. that EL are on 4 year EL contracts before being moved up to 1st yr. Once at 3rd yr, you can extend fornmax of 5 years. Kaprizov is 4 EL at 12$ while Stone is on 2/5 at 52$.

What is your cap situation like? And does the auction cost of each player only matter at the draft or do you need to stay under a limit for the entire year?
