    Default Price for Couturier/Debrincat

I’m looking for a 3rd starting goalie to go with Bon/Saros for next season, i’m weary w the allen trade that he will steal starts from Price, do you think Debrincat or Couturier 1for1 for Price is too much? I’m pretty deap on fwd depth

One forward or the other, not both, for Price is something I would consider doing for the short term help, but a) you could never say you truly "won" that deal, and b) I would investigate other cheaper options first which may also work out better for you in the long term.

Is this the same team in your signature? If so, why not just keep Holtby and avoid the Price trade?

Is this for the league in your sig? Assuming you mean Bobrovsky and Saros?

Do you actually have 3 starting goalie positions? Or are some of those bench spots? 3 starting goalies in a 9 team league would be intense.

The direct comparison in a points league is pretty easy:
    Couturier - 75 points - 325 F/pts
    Dbrincat - 70 poitns - 290 F/pts
    Price - 30 wins / 4 SO - 250 F/pts
    Price - 35 wins / 8 SO - 295 F/pts

So clearly Couturier is the most productive player. Debrincat is less so but is much younger so there's upside. Price comes in at the low end of the three in my opinion. I really think 30 wins is what you should project him for, so in the 250-275 point range, which just doesn't compete with the other two.

The only way I consider Price here is if you do start 3 goalies and your 3rd option is quite a bit worse than Price. Your forward core is pretty solid, so losing Couturier or Debrincat isn't a huge loss. If you only start 2 goalies, I'm not considering this at all.

Yeah Couturier/Debrincat would be more productive than the goalies but if your starting 3 then I would likely do the trade. If you can wait until Holtby situation shakes out I would do that. But if not and you're not confident in him going forward I would try to get Price.

I'd hang on to Holtby regardless. Price on Montreal isn't exactly a great situation so no matter where Holtby goes, I think they both get 30ish wins each. Habs aren't that good and they just acquired Allen to lower Price's work load.

    I pass.

If you are dead set on a goalie, Vas is the right guy. Would I be correct in assuming Burakovsky and Bjorkstrand would step into your lineup as a result? Thats an important factor....

If I was dead set on improving my goaltending I would be jumping on that. I am a big believer in being a “goalie have” team. I am also a big believer in holding assets as goalies. There is always a market (in a goalie dependent league) for goalies and they are liquid if you need to trade one out for some skater help.

Yea that’s pretty dead on, unless I get a better player through our leftover player draft(doubtful)

Well Dubois and Bjorkstrand should be joined at the hip anyways so that may be close to a wash. I think Debrincat is the better choice over Bura by a fair bit. However, Vasilevsky is the guy, and young and on a team that should be good for years to come. I think he makes up for the difference between DeBrincat and Bura.

I'd do that; capitalize on Dubois' big playoff. CBJ is not a high scoring team....

I bet that if you make this deal another GM turns around and offers you two better players than you just gave up up for Vasilevskiy.
