Default McAvoy vs Broberg and picks

Here's the offer on the table:

My McAvoy (4.9) and 5th rd pick
    Vs.
    His Broberg (1.775), 1st rd pick 2021 and 3rd rd pick 2020

Broberg seems like a good prospect and is trending upwards. 1st 2021 could land in top 3 as the other owner has finished in bottom the last 3 years. And it free's up 4.9 million on my cap space.

McAvoy though is only 22. Entering his 4th year (breakout?) And Krug might be gone...

    Thoughts?

I'd stick with McAvoy were I you. He can help you win this year, Broberg likely won't play at all.

This is a tough one mainly because I am just not a big fan of McAvoy in cap leagues, especially point predominate ones. He just doesnt shoot enough, or score enough. He also seems to miss a lot of time. Krug gone or not, I am not really sold on McAvoy as an offensive player in the league.

On the other side, I am not sure how much of a point producer Broberg will be in the NHL either. It's still too early to know that, and could be a few years before we really know. The 1st round pick is certainly enticing though. I'd be shocked if Broberg is in the NHL next year, but at least you can stash him in your minors.

I am going to assume that with a bonus for D scoring, the Dmen are harder to acquire in your league, especially the offensive ones. Is there much out there for redrafting worth looking at?

so im not a fan of McAvoy as much as some others. I think he is usefull but he is not a fantasy hockey start to me and i dont think he ever will be. His hype never really died since year one and i never understood that.

Having said that, i think you can get more for Mcavoy and his hype.

I'd pass. McAvoy can be the PP qb if Krug leaves....Broberg has potential but is still a very big IF.... the first in 2021 (a weaker draft) helps but not enough for me, not close.

Thanks for quick replies! I wasn't high on dropping an active D vs a prospect.

Turned him down. But countered with a 4th rd pick vs Broberg to stash him in minors.
