I drafted Rossi 5th overall in the first round. I’ve got plenty of space for the salary. So if Hall signs st 10-11M its not a problem for me.

I would like to know if its a fair trade ?
I wanna start getting keeper players cause like you see i have a ton of prospects/young nhl players.

Do you only have 6 forwards on your main roster in a start 10 league?

Tkachuk should be up, I'd think, for example.

You have room now.. but it's going to become a crunch very quickly.

Hard to pass up a pt/gm + player for an unproven prospect in Rossi & Strome who's looking like a 60-70pt player.

I'd be very tempted to pull the trigger and hope Hall lands somewhere with real support somewhere.

I'd take that deal. I dont see Hall getting anywhere near $10M in this cap crunch time. Maybe $8.5M

Thanks for the advice guys but what do you really think about Rossi ? I know he's small but his upside on dobber is 100 pts. The guy is a pure genius. We don't know where Hall will land but do you think he can still do over a 1pt per match ?

Hall cleared 65 points twice and 55 three times in his carrier...when he plays he plays in 627 games 563 points so not too far from PPG but he just does not play enough or is consistent enough to be called PPG player....he has been an NHLer for about 950 games but he played in only 627 of them.

i think this is great deal to take...specially if Rossi plays next year and maybe think he is 2nd most ready player in this draft...

What blocks me alot for giving away Dylan Strome and Marco Rossi are those stats:

op OHL draft-eligible seasons (per-game) over the last 10 years:
    • Connor McDavid 2.55
    • Marco Rossi 2.14
    • Mitch Marner 2.00
    • Dylan Strome 1.90
    • Matthew Tkachuk 1.88
    • Taylor Hall 1.86
    • Quinton Byfield 1.82

I believe that last year's OHL scoring for the league was higher than it has been in years past, making comparisons to past ppg not as accurate. And Rossi was on a pretty stacked Ottawa 67's team. Not to denigrate Rossi and his ability. But I wouldn't take his 2nd best OHL scoring ppg over the past few years as evidence that he is going to be superior to the others on the list.

If it looked like you had a contending team I might be swayed but you appear to be a few years away

I’m not a big Hall fan due to injury history and inconsistent production. Sure, most of that inconsistency was on poor teams but I’m not high on him. He COULD end up somewhere great like Colorado and tear it up. That would be great for a contender but again, I don’t think your team is close and Hall may have aged out by then.

Not high on Strome either and wouldn’t be opposed to moving him but Rossi looks like he could be pretty special.

I’d be looking to do the opposite. Trade Benn for a haul considering his strong playoffs and if OEL gets moved well him on the hype of a new team. I’d add Subban to that list but don’t imagine he’d fetch much of a return.

Would it be better to take another player on his team like Dubois or i go with Hall ?

Yes he wasn't a consistent player but he's got the upside to do ppm player. I am really confused with this trade. I know it will help my team cause for now my best player might be konecny or benn if he keeps the same pace like in the playoffs !

I would not do this deal. I'm not a big Hall or Strome guy; Hall has more name value but I actually don't think that points wise there will be that much of a gap. I'd say going forward Hall averages 65 -80 points (injuries) and Strome averages 50-70 points.

Rossi is a hell of a player and if I'm trading him, I'd want more of a sure thing than Hall, even if I had to add to Rossi.
