Necas for a 2020 16th, 2020 32nd & 2021 1st

I am in win now mode in a 16 team H2H salary cap league. G, A, PTS, STP, HITS, BLOCKS, PIM

It will take my 2020 16th and 32nd pick... plus my 2021 1st..... the 2021 1st should be 14th to 16th as I have finished 1st the last 2 seasons.

The reason I am considering paying this that I can get a cheap producing player. I am tight to the cap.

Thoughts?

I would make that trade. It’s a gamble that any of those picks become as good as Necas and you are in a win-now mode.

I would ask around for a bunch of other guys like Suzuki, Fox, etc that could give you similar production value at less of the trade cost.

While I like that deal, I do think shopping your picks for an ELC player would be a good idea. You might be able to even keep your 2nd rounder to use later.

Curious why you think Fox or Suzuki would cost less than Necas in a trade right now? Feel like even though they're all similar ages, Necas has been "around" longer, and hasn't "lived up to expectations", whereas the other two have to be riding pretty high in their respective owners' minds. They all still have a season left on their ELC's. Feel like I'm missing something obvious here...

I don't think Suzuki would cost less, but if he's only a little more then it's worth it. Fox might be devalued a bit as a Dman. I don't know, but to me it seems like a lot to pay for Necas, so I would see if it can get me someone better instead.

2 years of ELC left and nothing but growth ahead on an excellent up and coming juggernaut. I'd mash the accept button on this one. Seems some folks are underestimating his worth.

Is he worth this return, yes.
Is the market value on him probably low enough that this solid set of assets could get you something better, or have to pay less to get him? I think so anyways.
