no clue but I think they have like 33 mil in cap space and Reinhart the only major resigning to attend to I believe. This is a pivotal year with Eichel and making the playoffs because if they miss again I bet he asks for a trade.

I won't be surprised to see MAF in Colorado before next season too.
i have a feeling that their last trade marked end of Petry...i dont think they will resign him but we will see...

I don't even think that matters. Dahlin is PP1, and they have Risto and Miller for RHD locked up for two more years. Signing an expensive D for PP2 makes no sense. They'd have to do a lot of shuffling to make this work. I just don't think Barrie is the type of player Buffalo needs right now. And hopefully they have learned something from past follies going after UFAs...

I dont think so. Edmundson isn't a top four Dman like Petry is. I see him more of a solid 5/6 guy but as you say, we'll see. Getting Petry re-signed has to be a priority for Montreal this off-season.

i agree, i also think they tried and could not come to the agreement specially with uncertainty we all live with, ...thats why i think they made the trade just in case Petry walks..i dont think they needed to add #6 guy via FA

If you could move Barrie for Lindholm and either Morrissey or Doughty would you? I’m intrigued as to him landing spot but if it’s in a locale that’s not a good fantasy option I may not be able to move em later

Barrie for Lindholm I would do straight up. Add in Doughty who you could probably flip to somebody for something just based on the name value is just gravy.

I know. I was just taking a shot at the Pegulas. The reporting from the Athletic on the Pegulas has painted them in a terrible light.

    I'd do that ASAP.

I find myself wishing that my fantasy D men somehow get traded to Edmonton. Barrie and Klingberg specifically.

Well Barrie doesn’t require a trade to Edmonton. They just need to convince him to sign. But I hear ya!

Pittsburgh is trying to cut cap. Boston maybe. Vegas doesn't have the cap space as it is. Let alone after they sign Lehner.
