    Default Liljegren vs. Jokiharju

I have him (Liljegren) as a prospect D and think he'll be in the Leafs lineup next year. I had hoped to see him as a puck moving top 2 D man, but am now thinking he may just be a solid top 4 guy. I've been waiting a few years for him and am frustrated. Time to cut bait or should I drink the Kool-aid for another year?

He's in my League 2 team. and I'm debating between him and Jokiharju. I don't expect miracles from either player, but what's the opinion on their potential?

    Thanks everyone!

I don't see how Liljegren is anything but a #7 next year, if he makes it at all.

    Sure to be there:
    Rielly
    Muzzin
    Holl

    Probably:

    Dermot or upgrade via trade
    Sandin
    Ufa/trade to replace ceci/Barrie

So that leaves Liljegren at 7, best case scenario.

Take Jokiharju here; at least he's established somewhat.

Yeah I know next year will be tough for both to crack the lineup. Long-term, who do you like more?

I hate Jokiharju's situation, but I think I prefer him. I think he's got a much better shot to be in the NHL next year, as I would add Lehtonen into the "probably" part of that mix for Toronto as a FA they already signed.

Upside is hard to tell, but top 4 with PP time is fine, but if Liljegren can't crack the Leafs D corps soon, that tells me he may not be doing so in Toronto.

Yeah that's the thing - Sandin, Lehtonen, Liljegren seem like they are all fighting for 6 or 7 at best (if the Leafs are serious about improving the D; which I believe they are).

There will be 1, if not 2 new faces brought in almost assuredly.

Buffalo is looking to move D out; Toronto is looking to add. Jokiharju is safer IMO, although neither has great immediate potential.

I think both guys are destined for the bottom of the rotation for the foreseeable future. I do prefer Jokiharju's offensive projection more than Liljegren's but I dont see either guy moving the offensive needle any time soon.

I’m going with Jokiharju based only on upside. Both guys are in tough spots. Maybe just sit tight until we see what happens with Ristolainen. If he gets moved, I’d put Joki on the 2nd PP. Not great, but I think that puts him clearly in front of Liljegren, at least for now. Lord knows what Toronto will do with their D.
12 teams. Keep 9 any position.
7 prospects. D scoring 3.75 for goal, 2.75 for assist. Forwards 3.5 for goal, 2.5 for assist. 0.5 for hits and blocks. Goalie scoring -1.5 GA, 0.3 for save, 2 points for win and extra 2 for shutout.

    Pre Draft

F: Keller, Zegras, Suzuki, Caufield, Cozens

    D: Drysdale, Guhle, Perunovich

    G:

    IR:

Prospects: W. Johnston, K. Johnson, Guenther, Morrow, Mateychuk
