Been talking to an owner about hischier. What is everyone’s thoughts on the player? He was slow out of the gate but could be in line for a bit of breakout. Anyone on my team Worth offering?

As a NJ fan, I wouldn't bet on anyone on that team over the next 2-3 years. I would only get Hischier if it's a value deal and you can afford to take up a roster spot for a couple years while the team sorts itself out.

I agree, but I also think it's going to be 2 to 3 years before that happens. So it comes down to, does that fit into your window. I think he's good for 45-55 this year, 55-65 the next, and maybe 75+ after that if all goes well.Originally Posted by Axeman33

Call me biased (I'm Swiss), but next year will be his 4th in the NHL. So given both his talent and the opportunities he'll keep getting, he's as safe a breakout gamble as there is.
If you're talking a 1 for 1 deal, I'd take him over Strome, Atkinson, Radulov and Lee easily. Some of these might be a tad above Hischier right now, but I'm confident that Hischier should be way more expensive after next season.
