Default Is J.T. Miller a superstar?

I always thought he was an excellent complimentary player. But Jesus Christ did the canucks changed him.

What's going on here? Is it luck? Did he sell his soul in exchange of additionnal skills?

Is he really a PPG player from now on?

Wasn't he playing with equally good players in Tampa?

He's on the brink. If he can put another season together like last year, I would put him in that category.

The issue in Tampa was ice time, and being moved up and down the line-up.

Yeah, he's close to a superstar, but put him on NJ and I don't think he could do it on his own. 70-85 points the next few years depending on luck and health. He's close to ppg but not a guarantee.

If you bought the fantasy guide last year you might see hints of "what's going on here"

And no, he was not in a position to succeed in Tampa.

I don't see him as a superstar. My standards for a superstars are pretty high tho. I would say a star but not a super one

He's an excellent player but not sure he's a superstar. If he's a superstar, what's Pettersson?

Vancouver is the first team to CONSISTENTLY deploy him in the top six with talented line mates. He cannot carry a line on his own but paired with someone who can as is the case with Elias, JT will be a star.

Quick answer is his ice time increased by 3min/game over his previous career high.

NYR distributed ice evenly over 3 lines for years. 16/night
then buried in a deep, healthy TB line up.

Now he plays with Pettersson rather than watching Kucherov play in TB

I kinda think this is as good as it gets for Miller moving forward. But he becomes pretty damn close to a lock in for similar production moving forward

I can get behind star, but superstar is an overreach. Superstars are generally the guys who make their linemates much, much better, and carry the line/pairing - excluding goalies, of course.

How many players would you guys say are "elite?" Like, McDavid definitely fits the bill, I also put Draisaitl in that category, but would guys like Crosby, Eichle, Matthews and maybe Kucherov and Stamkos? Pettersson could probably get there but I don't see him there yet.
