The tone of your posts suggests you don't believe any of this will make a "significant difference". I'm sorry if I misinterpreted.

    Back to play tonight?

Man, I don't think they solved racism in just 2 days.

At least I'm aware of it now, because I totally wasn't previously.

Real action items that the NBA players were able to get from their strike:

    https://twitter.com/TimBontemps/stat...86010489499652

The big one here is getting all the owners on board in cities where the team owns the arena to have those arenas available to be voting stations to make voting more accessible. Previously, only some of the owners had committed to this. And stick tap to the folks in Sacramento who started doing this back in 2018. One of the pieces of systemic racism that people want to see changed is how voting stations in minority communities are often setup to make it more difficult for folks to get out and vote. This should help in that regard, especially in COVID times when many folks will be wary of going to the polls.

I don't know what everyone's expectations were but you can't say they accomplished nothing. They are back playing and we're still talking. And if nothing else they achieved this action item. You eat the elephant one bite at a time.

So Don Cherry for 10 minutes in the first intermission once a week expressing his views, that a segment of the population should show respect for this country, is horribly racist and offensive, and he gets canned after decades of passionate commitment to the game and our country.

But a bunch of whiny virtue signaling millionaires are upset by some wanted sex offender getting shot while fighting with police and going for a knife, and they are going to not show up for work because of the PTSD they are suffering. Wow, I'm upset too, hey boss not coming in today. Yeah right, I'd be fired in a heartbeat.

Then they come back and kneel during the Canadian anthem? Seriously, if you crybully whiny privileged white liberals want to show the world how moral you are, comment on this.

I am sure there is some reason you will find for him to have deserved it. Because all lives really do NOT matter to you, saying so will get you beaten.

Rittenhouse was defending himself from literal terrorists trying to kill him and gets labelled a white supremacist by you people (this 'minority's thinks he is 100% justified, but that don't count, I'm one of 'those' minorities, we all know how proper minorities think, right?).

These same terrorists shoot an unarmed man dead and the crowd cheers. The streets are turning into the Colosseum and the media and politicians on the left are encouraging and defending it, and so are you. And you really don't care.

Let me ask you, when they are saying all whites are evil and racist and need to pay for it, what makes you think that doesn't include you? They will get to you eventually, you can bet on that.

But just ignore it and post a black fist on your social media accounts, pat yourself on the back for what a bastion of morality you are, so much better than the oppressed masses you champion.

Better keep an eye on that mob.

I'm waiting to hear the term "peaceful execution" enter the narrative.

Good thoughts. Seemed like they made progress.

No need to defend it. Its not right. Thankfully the vast majority of BLM protestors are not like that.

Nobody is watching them anyway, ratings as low as they have ever been. Will now go even lower.

Are you saying the NBA ratings are low and will go lower? In what time frame? To finish the 2020 season? Ripple effect moving into 2021?

To finish the season, yeah probably the viewing numbers will end up going lower moving forward. The amount of sports on plus the addition of NFL, plus the end of summer. I think it's all a recipe to lower view numbers. Then the whole China effect on the league (the viewers there have dive bombed, don't know if that is included in the numbers though), plus the actual president asking people to stop watching the NBA because it's political (come on, commenting on this and not masks. Different story though).

I think it's just a 2020 blip, but with the change in the 2020-21 season being also changed in timing... could also seep into that season.

HAHA, yeah. The NBA does want viewers, but the players rather the ones who left stay away.
