    Default Klingberg

How long do you guys think he's fantasy viable in a G/A/PPP/Hits/Blocks/pims league?

Heisk is at his heels to take over in Dallas. Is Klingberg worth making the move for?

    Stick a fork in him.

Kidding. I think he's still at a 40 point floor for a full season, but the 60 point ceiling is gone. He still has a bunch of years left, but he also won't give you heavy peripherals. Depends on your expectations of him.

I'm basically looking for a guy that can put up some points while getting some peripherals along the way. I've got Pietrangelo, Josi and OEL so klingberg would slot in as a 4th D and might buy me some time to rebuild my D with youth

i would look for someone like Pionk or Pulock, you may get them for same or less and they provide better value in multicat imo. I always say taht offense is hardest to come by and its true but when it comes to D i think you need some multicat stats .

Why do you need to rebuild your D with a bunch of guys in their prime?

Oh i'm saying in a few years time when these guys are exiting prime. It gives me time to stash high end prospects and roll them into my roster.

Gotcha. If you're looking to round out your D with some peripherals though, Klingberg is not your guy.

I'd pass on Klingberg, and look for 25-30 point guys who will give you peripherals.

They are much cheaper to acquire, often freely available. They may be younger, and fit right in with future plans. And those guys are much less dependent on PP time, so less worries about losing prime PP minutes to someone else.

Provorov's a tier or two above what I was talking about. Parayko makes sense, but even he has some remaining expected upside luster.

Pulock, Ristolainen - those are the types of guys who I would target. Klingberg's days of 60 points are behind him, and there is no slowing down the ascension of Heiskenen.

If people are sleeping that hard on Pulock, then you need to get him in as many leagues as you can!

Pulock should be more expensive than both.
And I'm not sure what leagues other than ones heavy on hits and PIMs where Risto is better than Klingberg.
