Is it too soon to start going Fox?
It's either Fox or Doughty, and I could see an argument for either.
Fox wins in G (close), A, P, +/-, and blocks. Doughty narrowly takes PPP, plus shots and hits.
Fox got better as the season went on, including 11 points in his last 9 games - with his ice time increasing a lot too. A full season of that and I don't think it's a contest that he's the pick over Doughty moving forward.

Fox is my choice. Young and on the rise. Ristolainen was probably the most valuable of the three last year, but he's not likely to improve unless he gets to an ideal situation. Fox is the good choice.

I think I would go with Fox. NYR are improving and LAK are declining.

I'm still going with Doughty here. Yes, Fox is the sexy name but I just like the consistency of Doughty.

For me, the circumstance your team is in weighs heavily here. If you are in win now mode I'm inclined to go with the proven vets. Doughty would also be my choice. However, if you are building I like Fox, sure looks like a bright future is in the works there.

Fox doesn't necessarily have the multi-cat upside of a Doughty/Ristolainen and has enough competition for PP1 time on NYR that you could envision him maxing out at ~45 points. There will at some point come a time when Doughty is washed enough that you'd want the younger Fox, even with lower multi-cat upside and you may have to make that call early for it to still be available to you.
Thinking purely from a one-year perspective I'd rather have Doughty or Ristolainen but I could see opting for Fox thinking that he'll be a keeper for you for the next 5+ years.

For me it comes down to whether you're competing this year or not. When it's a close choice think about the trade value for next year if you want to trade him.
Fox is unproven IMO but is the sexy choice
I like Ristolainen a lot but who knows where he'll end up (could even be on the 1st pair with Dahlin)
Doughty's only 30 but he has mileage.
I'd go Fox at this point. He's got the best long-term potential but is the risk/reward pick of the three.

Fox is long term... I think Doughty is the answer for next 1-2 years though.

Now with the Deangelo signing in NY, does this affect anything in this choice or change anyone's opinions. Curious to see if you guys who voted for Fox still feel the same now. For more background I am definitely in a win now mode and plan to be every year, haha

Ristolainen carries too much risk - so he's last on my list here.
With regards to the other two, it depends on where your team is now. Doughty is undoubtedly the better hockey player, and he has no competition for quality minutes. But he's 30 years old, and playing for the Kings, who have no turnaround in sight. So in terms of fantasy hockey, he's a stable choice, but his best has likely come and gone. Fox is only 22, has shown great offensive upside, and plays for an up-and-coming Rangers team. But he's competing for ice time with Trouba and DeAngelo on the right hand side for the foreseeable future.
So if you're in a win-now mode, I might lean towards Doughty. But anything longer term, give me Fox.

I've added my league settings and current roster/keeper thinking in signature below.
I think this thread is making me lean towards Doughty now, but his +/- risk is the biggest factor holding me back from being confident, compared to Fox.
I think right now, I've convinced myself to keep a 3rd goalie in Jarry over either Doughty/Fox anyways. What do you guys think? Maybe keeping a third goalie instead makes this decision a little easier? And hope to redraft at least one of them. Or would any of you swap around my bubble players any differently?
