    Default Giroux for Zibanejad??

    Multicast limited keeper.
    G, A, P, PPP, SOG, FOW, Hits & Blocks

Have an opportunity to maybe acquire Zibanejad.
I'm thinking of offering Giroux plus a high draft pick.

My biggest concern is that Giroux usually gets triple position eligibility whereas Zibs is just a C. The versatility of slotting in Giroux anywhere into my forward lineup is pretty valuable.

    Cheers!

Most would agree that going from Giroux to Zibanejad is good, so the whole thing rests on how high the draft pick is. I'd send out an offer with what you consider a middle draft pick and see where it goes. Roster flexibility is nice, and perhaps your roster requirements are such that having a Swiss-Army-Giroux is good. But given the chance to get a better producer, you have to go get the better producer.

Would offering Horvat make more sense?

I get the positional issue that Giroux addresses for you, but IMO, both Horvat and Zibs are upgrades on an aging Giroux in your scoring format. I'd find a way to work around that and do what I can to get Zibs on my roster. So, the question is, in addition to Giroux, how high a draft pick would get this deal done. We don't have enough information here to help much with that but certainly Zibs for Giroux and a high pick is something I would be very much inclined to do. In fact, if we are not talking 1st or 2nd overall, I'd move that 3rd. Zibs is 27 years old, just hitting his prime, and he is an absolute monster in your format. Well worth paying a fair price for.

Zib is worth his multi-cat offerings despite only being C eligible for sure.

I would offer Horvat and Giroux if that's what it took to get Zibs.

I would take that offer for my Zibanejad. Depending on the size/keepers in the OPs league, that would be a hard offer to turn down.

    Thanks for the feedback.
I'll see if I can make it happen for Horvat and a pick no higher than a 3rd.
But it'll probably end up costing me a 2nd. Lol

How many keepers in your format? This is a huge factor in making your offer.

Also... The value of Giroux (LW,C,RW) in a FOW format should not be under valued. Playing a RW that gets close to a point/game that shoots the puck, runs the PP has some grit and wins 650 Faceoffs is the kind of player that puts you over the top.

Yes. Rosters of 27, keep 10.
I totally agree about Giroux, which is why I'm more inclined to give Horvat.

Did not notice the FOWs part. That being said, Horvat is also one of the top FOWs guys in the league, so he's not to be taken lightly.

Zibs is still a whole head over either though.
