Kakko also comes to Manhattan of all places from osh kosh Finland in his rookie year and that needed to be factored in to; an extraordinary element like when a player has a child. Nonetheless, based on my fond memories of Kakko projections last year which did not pan out I would really just say who knows and if Laf hits 40 plus in year one I won't complain.

If points are tough to predict, these are near impossible.
All depends on his situation, but they'll be better than anyone else you can draft from the 2020 crop.

He is a physical player who can score. Predicting number of hits is damn near impossible once he gets to the NHL; but he isn't a cup cake.

Byfield is bigger but not nearly as physical to give you an idea.

I went to the game in February when Rimouski came to Halifax to play the Moose just to watch Lafreniere.

He stands out as a premiere player but in that game, the Moose shut him down and actually upset them 1-0. I didn't watch a lot of his games simply because it was the only time RIM came to Halifax on the schedule this year and there isn't a lot of Q games on TV. To be honest, in the game vs the Moose, he looked tired and seemed to lack interest. He had a couple bursts but at the end of the game, he might have had one SOG and I don't remember him being physical. As I say, this was one game against a bottom feeding Moosehead team who had no business being in that game but they shut them down. Halifax wanted that more than Rimouski.

The most I saw him, like everyone, was at the past two WJC. He was clearly physical in those games but not sure how he will fare out of the gate vs NHL men.

He appears to be somewhat physical but I'm not looking for that from him.
