Trading to get Morgan Frost

We keep a total of 8 keepers each season forward-defs-goalie

Points only = goals and assists equal value.

Prospects are illimited in the farm. We can keep prospects in the farm until they reach 150 games played or 25 years old.

Salary Cap for 2020-2021 = 97.8M

Players that counts in the total points:

10 best forwards
4 best defense
1 best goalie


After the hockey draft (12 rounds) we can have a maximum of:

15 forwards
8 defense
3 goalie

But cannot exceed a maximum of 23 players in full roster to play.







I really want to get Frost from another GM. I need your advice to not over give in this kind of trade. The other GM'S wants me 5th OR 6th overall pick of the 1st round 2020 for Frost.

Should i counter and ask him to give me frost and a middle round pick 2020 ?

If i don't give him a 1st round pick 2020 he is interested in these players in my farm:

Zegras
Byram
Yamamoto
Dach

OR

My pick in round 1 2022.

Any suggestions guys ?

Personally, I think his request is on par with what I'd want for Frost too. He's arguably one of the best prospects in hockey today.

What does your roster look like right now as far as who you are keeping?

I generally think it's fair value, but the shiny new pieces usually have more away. I wonder if you could move 6th for Frost and a later pick (in the 40s or so).

Solid farm but you are going to get caught soon with too many. You have time, but be wary of that. I'd almost start looking at packaging some of your prize prospects for upgrades to your keepers but that's me and a different discussion to be had.

I agree with EB to see if you can package the 6th for Frost + another pick. I'd be alright with that.

So if i offer my 1st round 2022 for Frost + his 7th round 2020 OR if he declines i'll ask his 10th round 2020 ? is that a fair trade ?


p.s: Yes i feel that i'll have to trade some of my top prospect to go get some solid keepers or else i'll be in deep SH*t haha

If i give him my first round 2022, my goal will be to upgrade my team this year and next year so that he doesn't get in the lottery haha
