This sure looks like a team that is rebuilding and there are already some very nice pieces in place to do just that. Giving up blue chip prospects and very decent draft picks for guys like Hyman and Kreider is not a good idea IMO for the simple reason that I don't think that move puts you into contention this year and it has cost you significantly and will set back the rebuild. I'm quite content to draft Byfield and whoever falls to me in 9th and 14th overall. Forcing things to try and be competitive this year is just not advised. Next year, you should have a very very nice core and a ton of young talent to move to get the pieces you need to push to the top, but not this year. Patience, you're a year ahead of yourself here I think (:
