Sanheim for me.
I think PHI is the real deal.
I also think he's the safest bet for per-game value.
Doing a playoff pool to settle our unfinished dynasty league. League setup same as my sig. If a player i pick gets knocked out of the playins then I'll get to replace him with someone else on the free agent pool.
Who do you like best for the playoffs only, not beyond.
Travis Sanheim - pp time, consistent blks/hits, one of the best in 2nd half in my settings
Adam Boqvist - pp time, great last few games, not much for blks/hits
Vince Dunn - pp time, not much for blks/hits
R. Andersson - hamonic out raises his ice time, no pp time in last 5 gp
Carson Soucy - surprisingly solid mix of stats in the 2nd half
Joel Edmunson - one of the best in my settings for fps in the 2nd half
I'm leaning Boqvist for pure upside but I also think CHI will be trying to win rather than worry about giving him opportunity. Sanheim/Edmunson are safest choices if i just want to get consistent avg points.
Thanks for any help!

Thanks guys. Another thing to consider is that the teams like CHI in the playins could potentially get 5 gp, while teams like PHI and STL are 3 max.
Does that move the goal posts for you guys?
Yes - that makes a difference.
I didn't know (I didn't read it right) that you would get to keep the points they had already obtained.
Probably Boqvist for me, then... if you keep those points and can then pick another serviceable 2nd pairing (non-PP) Dman on a decent team.
since its just one round i pick Boqvist here..i dont think chicago makes it but for my money he will score most points here

Appreciate all the replies guys!
'Who do you like?' Took me back to my elementary years and my major crush on Wendy Peffercorn!
Anyways... onto your question...
I like Sanheim as long as the Flyers don't matchup against the Penguins in the second round.
Since we cannot know that for sure.. I would go with Sanheim.

Actually... wait.
Let's break this down.
First stage:
Chicago is guaranteed... only... 3 games. They might get an extra two games in the best-of-5.
PHI/STL is guaranteed... EXACTLY 3 games.
i.e. Boqvist might (might!) get an extra 1 or 2 games.
Second stage & beyond (std playoffs w/16 teams):
If Boqvist (& CHI) is knocked out, then a follow-up player can be picked... but it might be slim pickins.
PHI/STL is guaranteed... at least 4 games.
Let's give these guys values:
80 A.Boqvist
70 Sanheim
70 Dunn
50 Post-Boqvist Scraps
Option A: Boqvist, then ScrapD
80 Boqvist x 4game avg (round1) = 320
(80%likelihood shift to) 50 ScrapD x 10game avg (two rounds worth) x0.8 = 400
(20%likelihood stay with) 80 Boqvist x 10game avg (two rounds worth) x 0.2 = 160
TOTAL = 880
Option B: Sanheim or Dunn
70 Sanheim/Dunn x 3game exactly = 210
70 Sanheim/Dunn x 10game average = 700
TOTAL = 910
Depending on the amount you value these players... either side could win.
So... the real key thing is this... CHI is likely to lose... so WHAT is the value of the replacement player... to know that... one has to know what is LIKELY to be there.
The extra, MAYBE, 1 or 2gp from Boqvist is not THAT beneficial if potential future scrapD available... sucks badly enough.
(No need to nitpick those of us that didn't, possibly, get the complexities. This is NOT a slam dunk for the likely losing Boqvist/CHI side.)

I'd actually want Dunn. I feel he has the best chance to go deep into the playoffs and I like that better than battling with others for leftover scraps off the FA pile, assuming the others fall short in the playoffs.

Isn't playoff strategy all about loading up on 2-3 teams you feel are going to go the deepest? With 20 teams, perhaps you expand to 4-5. I always like to grab a dark horse and go hard on them.
18/19 I loaded up on Stl. no one else touched them for 5 rounds - I finished 1st
the year SJ made the finals I had 8 Sharks. Everyone was worn out drafting them for the past decade.
11/12 I loaded up on Kings and cleaned the pools clock. Was in a pool of Canucks fans so taking them was clearly a jab as well.
With that formula
Dunn - Sanheim are your top two choices. best bets to go deep
R. Andersson would be my 3rd option as Cgy holds the chance of an upset or two - if they get in.

Again thanks for the detailed replies guys. I guess I skimped a bit on the details.
So for the 4 remaining teams in our playoffs, we're keeping our old players from our regular season teams and replacing the guys that were on the 7 teams that missed the playoffs.
We can only select players that have the same fp/g in 19/20 or less as the players we are replacing them with.
We are also only doing it until the end of the 1st round real playoffs
If i select Sanheim/Dunn I keep them until the end or I go with Boqvist with the added potential games and replace him with a left over guy if CHI gets bounced. I could potentially get Sanheim/Dunn after the first round cause it doesn't look like they'll get picked by anyone else.
