Casey Mittelstadt for Jack Roslovic

Hey guys I just made this trade. I dealt Roslovic for CM. I still think the kid is gonna figure it out in Buffalo. Thoughts?

Points: 3 points for a goal, 2 for an assist, 1 point for plus minus, 1 point for pp and sh points, .1 shots on net, .1 hits. Goalies 4 points for a win, -2 points for a loss, -1 point goals against, .1 points for saves.

Hard to say how this will work out. I was very high on Mittlestadt as a prospect but Buffalo did him no favors by rushing him. Hopefully he can find his way but I'm not sure it will be in Buffalo. I think they already have Cozens pegged as their future 2C but nothing says Mittlestadt can't push him.

I'd make that swap, Mitts hasn't panned out yet but I believe he has much better upside.

I prefer Roslovic but I don't think either of them is going to amount to more than a 50 point player so this is not the type of trade that will ruin your franchise.

I don't mind this at all. I agree with most, both these guys look like middle six forwards. That said, taking a flyer on CM is not a bad idea, maybe he justifies that 8th overall pick. I think what you've already seen with JR is pretty much what you get. So, if CM does work out you win big time, if not, I don't think you've lost much if anything. A good gamble.

I agree with Bubba. not much to lose but a lot to gain Casey finds himself.

Maybe one or both of them end up in Seattle and both prosper. Trade probably evens out for both sides.

I like this move only because you and banking on upside. Neither player, in the short-term, seems all that relevant to your roster. It wouldn't surprise me if both are dropped by respective teams down the road. But CM probably has a better shot at top 6 than JR at this point, if I were to guess. Even if you "lose" this deal in the long run, I don't think it will be a big loss. Because I don't see Roslovic better better than most of your forwards.

I prefer CM to JR here. I think he will have a better opportunity to carve out a top 6 role. I traded Puljujarvi for Bennett a couple of seasons ago. This feels a lot like that one did at the time. Neither of those guys panned out in my trade, but hopefully it works out here for you guys.
