i just traded MacDavid after having him for 5 seasons...got Makar, M Tkachk and Fiala in return..its multi cat league with 28 player rosters (14 teams) and 15 minors....it gave me depth and hopefully all 3 still have upside. Im ok with the deal as i needed depth but i think if you dig deeper you can get bit more for MacDavid.

If I was the McDavid owner Point and Marner would definitely be enough to make me strongly consider trading him. A lot would depend on the rest of my roster; particularly, who my drop would be. It would be MY McDavid + _(drop?)_ for Marner and Point. In a twenty team league, I would assume that my drop is a pretty insignificant, easily-replaced player, so this seems like a trade that I would accept.

Saw this one in ramblings and had to chime in.
I definitely prefer the McDavid side in a keeper. Marner and Point are studs but they both have more question marks/possible deviation in the future, who knows. That's like trading your Visa and GE stock options for Apple stock. McDavid will be No. 1 every future year. My 2 cents.
