Toffoli - Burns
G/A/PIM/PPP/SHP/Tks/Hits/GWG. 4C/4LW/4RW/5D. Full Dynasty.
Mulling over an offer of trading away Toffoli for Burns, and its a bit challenging to separate the current hype around Toffoli and Burns' "bad" '19-'20 season.
I'm at the tail end of a rebuild looking to take a step forward and have a number of good/young wingers already (e.g. Svech, Tarasenko, Forsberg, Meier, Reinhart, Debrincat, Kakko, Lafrienere). By contrast I have a huge hole at D - McAvoy being the only asset to speak of aside from prospects such as Perunovich, Lundvkist, & Soderstrom.
So this would help plug that hole for me on a temporary basis, but I also don't want to trade away 30Gs from Toffoli off Pettersson's wing for the last mile of Burns, with the caveat even a 45-50 point Burns can be pretty valuable in our format given the Hits and Tks he can bring.

I would make this move. The name value along of Burns is worth more than Toffoli.
A well-rested Burns coming into next year will be a much better asset than Toffoli.
Sure Burns has a 'down' year. But he was still 11th overall in points for Defenseman and score 45 points. And he was still averaging 25:00 minutes a night. Its not like he has fallen off the cliff yet.

Wow - how far has Burns fallen? If you can get him for Toffoli, you have to push accept NOW.

LOL now this is funny, Toffoli is WW in most fantasy pools, yes he turned the corner a bit since the trade but , at the end of the day Burns is a proven commodity dman, poor season or not, grab him, hope he rebounds and trade him when he gets hot lol

Our leauges salary cap is part of what's driving it for the other guy and I didn't mention it as it's not a factor for me (I have room) but he's over by a fair bit. There is about a million difference between them in our leauge on 80M total cap.Originally Posted by Wotan

Great deal for you. I thought this was a deal where Toffoli & Burns were being dealt together for something from the headline, because the concept of it being straight up made no sense to me.
